Elliott I. Pinkie

Elliott Pinkie is a partner at Hoover Hull LLP. Elliott practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense, medical licensing and credentialing, premises and products liability, and general civil litigation. Relevant Experience

• Elliott represents physicians and other health care professionals in medical malpractice litigation and licensing and credentialing. In addition, he represents long-term care facilities and retail establishments in defense of negligence actions.
• Elliott also defends product manufacturers against product liability lawsuits brought under the Indiana Product Liability Act (IPLA). He also represents individuals and businesses in defense of negligence claims resulting in serious bodily injury and or significant property damage.
• Prior to joining Hoover Hull LLP, Elliott spent six years at an Indianapolis litigation firm practicing in the areas of medical malpractice, toxic torts, wrongful death, complex litigation, products liability, and premises liability.
• His prior practice included representing a large national home improvement retailer in defense of premises liability actions in Indiana. He also served as national coordinating counsel for a product distributor in defense of thousands of asbestos-related lawsuits.
• Elliott has represented clients in countless bench trials and has first and second chair jury trial experience.

Education

Elliott received his B.S. degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana in 1995, and his law degree from The Claude W. Pettit College of Law, Ohio Northern University in 2000. While in law school, Elliott clerked for a criminal law attorney in Lima, Ohio, served as a research assistant for a Law Professor, and maintained other part-time employment.

Elliott is a member of Defense Research Institute, Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana, and the Indianapolis and Indiana Bar Associations. He has been an active member of the Indiana State Bar Association's Law Practice Management Committee. Elliott is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, as well all Indiana State Courts. He supports civic and charitable organizations, including Social Health Association of Indiana, Inc., a United Way Agency, where he currently serves as First Vice President on the Executive Committee for the Board of Directors.
