Education and Prior Work Experience
Jeff received a B.S. degree in 1998 from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Bloomington, where he double-majored in Finance and Marketing. He began his career as a financial analyst in the Chicago subsidiary of a multi-national investment bank, where his focus was commercial and real estate lending. Thereafter, Jeff attended Indiana University Maurer School of Law - Bloomington, where he received his J.D., cum laude, in 2002. While in law school, Jeff worked as a summer associate in the Chicago office of one of the U.S.'s largest law firms, where his work focused solely on representing credit bureaus and consumer reporting agencies in complex commercial litigation.
Following law school, Jeff worked as an associate for a mid-sized Indianapolis law firm where he practiced in the areas of commercial and civil litigation. After nearly five years in private practice, Jeff became Assistant General Counsel for a leading real estate development and construction company and handled a broad range of matters including commercial leasing, real estate transactions and general corporate work.
Memberships and Community Service
Jeff is an active member of the American, Indiana State and Indianapolis Bar Associations, and is a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana. Jeff was appointed to, and currently serves on the Indiana University Foundation/Well House Society Advisory Board.
